I love Mahler

Just listening to the 2nd Symphony again in preparation for our concert, and getting tingles. The part right after the choir first comes in and the violins have that fourth beat and then the horn plays the fanfare is just gorgeous. I think when we've got the whole orchestra going, I'm singing as loud as I can and then the organ comes in, I might just cry. Fabulous.

Yes, I love the Mahler's 2nd Symphony too. In my town the Choir Cantus Hominum sang the last movement, "Resurrection", February 24 & 25, 2007.
When it is your concert?
Greetings for you

Mahler is remarkable. One of the top few composers of all times. I think his best pieces are the 1st and 7th symphonies.

Must borrow that CD at some point I've not heard it all the way through and I can't get into it at all. I need to hear what it's supposed to sound like!!
